Insolvency Insider provides the following analysis of the 53 insolvency filings highlighted in Q1 2023:

  • Professional services led all industries with 8 filings mentioned, followed by real estate and technology with 5 each. 
  • 27 filings mentioned were in Ontario, followed by 9 in British Columbia and 7 in Alberta. 
  • 15 CCAA filings were mentioned. PwC and A&M acted as monitor in 3 of these filings each, followed by FTI, Deloitte and Grant Thornton / Raymond Chabot in 2 each. Several other firms had one appointment.
