Insolvency Insider provides the following analysis of the 48 insolvency filings highlighted in Q3 2021:

• Similar to last quarter, real estate led all industries, with 8 filings mentioned. Retail followed with 5 filings mentioned and food manufacturing with 4 filings mentioned. 
• 21 filings mentioned were in Ontario, followed by 10 in Alberta and 9 in Quebec.
• Only 2 CCAA filings were mentioned this quarter. MNP was appointed as monitor for Abbey Resources in August and PwC was appointed as monitor for Plus Products in September. 
• Company counsel on these two CCAA filings were DLA Piper and Fasken, respectively.
